Miss H went out to feed the goats this evening and made a wonderful discovery! Our Lady goat, Loden had given birth to a beautiful little kid. This came as quite a surprise to us as we suspected she may be with kid several months ago, but had concluded she wasn't. OOPS! This poor little one has to be born in the harsh winter. However, we made a quick shelter out of the unused dog house and filled it with straw all in the middle of a snow storm. So, mamma and baby are resting peacefully and seem to be happy enough. Keep your fingers crossed for this tiny kid that he will survive the odds. We are quite certain "it" is a boy, so we are looking for names. Leave a comment with any suggestions you may have.
Wow! What a wonderful surprise! To cute! I hope the little guy survives...that would be awful, if he didn't. You know the first name that comes to mind is... baby Cody. Don't ask me why... thats just what popped up, when I looked at his picture. Take it or leave it, it won't hurt my feelings. ahhhh.... its just to cute, and so exciting!
